Backpack in Langkawi

-Someday in 2014-

My friends and I planned for a backpack trip to Langkawi for 4D3N. Roughly, Ive spent about MYR 600, include island hopping, foods, accommodation, transportation (flight ticket, KTM Ticket, Ferry Ticket and car rental) and shopping (chocolates and souvenirs).
**Note: Im not really sure about the budget, (it may be less than stated) since it was a long time ago, I cant remember it very well.

We manage to grab the cheapest flight ticket (Firefly) *about MYR60. We booked a motel (Melati Tanjung Motel) which located along the Chenang beach. I would rate the room 3.5 stars. Below is a rough sketch of our itinerary.

The only bookstores that looks like an old library
This bookstores have its own aura, its own uniqueness. If u looks for novel from few years ago (zaman tok nenek hang), well this is the place. It smells like a house of old books and Im sure a bookworm would love this place.

Tasik Dayang Bunting
Why does it called as Tasik Dayang Bunting? As you can see from the picture, the hills looks like a pregnant woman. Legend said that, a celestial princess named Mambang Sari was tricked into marrying a prince, Mat Teja. Sadly, their child died at the age of 7 days. Distraught, the grieving Mambang Sari left the child's body in the lake and returned to her heavenly abode. Some folks believe that woman who had a bath here may have a chance of getting pregnant.

Clear water of Pulau Beras Basah

My friend getting ready for parasailing. It cost her MYR 90

Manage to capture this so-called romantic scene at Beras Basah Island

During our time in Langkawi Cable Car

Pantai Pasir Hitam (As u can see, the sands are black in colour)

If u ever wondering why does the sand are black in colour, here why. It is due to combination of few minerals together with granite (there is science behind it. No magic!)
A monkey and her baby come into our boat during our journey in KILIM Geoforest Park

A must picture to have when u are in Dataran Lang
