Food Hunter vs Backpacker: Backpack in Semporna, Sabah: PART 1

I just returned from my 3D2N backpack trip in Semporna. There are 4 of us + my parents. I managed to grab MAS Flight Ticket Promo (Returned), costing MYR332. We deals with our travel agent, Hatta (Hp: 014-8731 021). Our trip package cost us MYR330 which include transport returned Tawau Airport-Semporna, Island Hopping + snorkelling gear, accommodation for 2 nights at Mutiara Inn. Our rough itinerary are as below:

Day 1	Arrive Semporna, sightseeing around Semporna Town
Day 2	Island hopping + Snorkelling (Tetagan, Bohey Dulang, Mantabuan, Sibuan)
Day 3	Island hopping + Snorkelling (Mataking, Pom Pom), went to Tawau
Day 4	Stay in Tawau
Day 5	Returned home

Day 1: Tawau Airport-Semporna

As we arrive Tawau Airport, we were welcomed by Din. We hopped on the Travel Bus and went straight to Mutiara Inn, Semporna. The journey took about an hour and cost us MYR25. As we checked in Mutiara Inn Hotel, we were welcomed by our handsome hotel receptionist, Abby (my mom call him 'budak hensem'). Hatta, our travel agent book a Queen Size Bed, Sea view + 2 extra bed (MYR30/bed) for us. As for my parents, Hatta booked Queen Size Bed, Shop view.

**Note: Sea view offer a spectacular view, fish market by the jetty. On bad side, it gives fishy odour as well.

We had our lunch at Bismillah Restaurant (about 10min walking from Mutiara Inn). I ordered Nasi Goreng Lalap, just a fried rice with fried vegies+fried chicken+sambal+soup). The locals there said the best Nasi Lalap is at Fadirah Café. Later, we bought mineral water at nearby Giant and had a walk to Dragon Inn (next to Jeti Umum). There are several souvenir shops in Dragon Inn. T-shirts were sold at MYR25/pcs (bargain price: MYR20). By dusk, we enjoy ABC at a restaurant by the sea accompanied by the beautiful sunset view.
